I bought this foundation because everyone was raving about it on YouTube and was so disappointed. It may be a good foundation for a lot of people, but it really did not work for me. I have combination skin and found that this became dry and patchy on certain areas of my face and caked up around my nose. It made me look like I was wearing an excessive, unnatural amount of makeup.
It was slightly better applied with a damp beauty sponge than a foundation brush. The sponge applied like medium coverage, but I got pretty full coverage from brush application. Both were applied over a Maybelline primer.
It also oxidized a TON so the Buff Beige I bought, which is normally in the range of colors that work for me, ended up about 2 shades too dark after I applied it. If you are going to try this foundation, buy it lighter than you normally do!
This is NOT a good foundation for people with really dry skin.
It gets amazing reviews, so I think for most skin types, and at such an affordable price, it's worth a try, but it wasn't a good fit for me at all. I gave it to a friend and she also found that it darkened significantly after it was applied, but she did like the formula.
I purchased this over Cyber Monday when it was on sale. I couldn't resist these cute, retro ponies, despite the fact that this isn't an everyday color choice palette for me. They're too pastel for my day-to-day look.
However, I have had tons of fun playing with different looks using these and have found that you can get a lot of different looks from this set of shadows - from cutesy to smokey.
The only complaint I have is that these are formulated and baked in a way that they have kind of a layer over the top that has to be scratched or rubbed away to get the color going. Until you break the surface of the shadows, the pigment is really dull.
Overall, a fun palette that I will use and that I enjoy having in my collection.
My new favorite palette! I've been wanting this since the Facebook previews started in the fall and this palette has NOT disappointed me. The colors are highly-pigmented, even the mattes, and I was shocked by how metallic the shimmers are (though they do have quite a bit of fallout). I have never met a BH Cosmetics palette that I didn't like. Their formulas are always high quality and combine drugstore prices with high-end formulas.
All these shadows apply well with brushes, though the shimmers are especially bold when applied with a finger or used wet. I have not tried the highlighter in this palette yet, as it looks to be a little glittery for my taste.
I have ordered both from their website and gotten their products on Ulta and have never had any issues.
I've been using this powder foundation since it came out, and while it doesn't give full coverage, it's great for days when I don't want the heaviness of liquid foundation. It's light, blendable, and matches my skin tone well. If you don't need a lot of coverage, this is a good option.
Love Baby Lips! I use this every day and keep it in my purse all the time. I love that it comes in a variety of flavors and fragrances and that there are several "medicated" versions for severely chapped lips (which is a problem for me in the wintertime). The only downside is that the non-medicated versions have to be reapplied frequently. Overall, I love it though!
For $5 eyeshadow, this stuff is amazing! The pigment is really rich and I wore it for many hours with minimal smudging. I found this in the holiday gift section of a Dollar General, and I will probably order from their website as well. Definitely recommend it!
Nothing special, just an eye pencil, but the color is good. It does tend to smudge on my lower lid, but most eye pencils do, even if I set them with powder. I like this for a basic, inexpensive pencil to wear during the day, though I wouldn't use it for anything artistic or for wearing for long periods of time.
One of the best eye pencils I've used - Urban Decay never fails me! Easy to apply, easy to blend. It goes on smoothly, so I don't feel like I might accidentally stab myself in the eye with it, but it's precise enough that it draws a nice line. It's easy to line with and build on for a more heavily-lined look.
I love the Yogi Egyptian licorice flavors. They are just the right amount of sweet and spicy. The ginger in them is great for when my stomach is upset, and I find them relaxing as well. This is a good overall tea to drink anytime. This will probably stay my favorite flavor.
